What is it?  A nutritional supplement made from pine bark that recent studies indicate may be one of the three most useful for arthritis and inflammation...

I have accumulated a large file of research papers from peer reviewed journals on nutritional supplements such as glucosamine and chondroitin and boswellic acid to attempt to prescribe these in an evidence based scientific fashion.  I constantly update these files.  Recently I came across 2 different meta-analyses from separate sites that indicated that pycnogenol along with Boswellia (or 5 lipoxin) may be one of the two most useful of all.  We will begin offering pycnogenol on our website at “order supplements” in the near future.  It is extremely safe and natural.  As all who know me are aware, we get all our patients off pharmaceuticals, especially NSAIDs.  Pycnogenol is just one more useful natural tool to use instead.
