Foot & Ankle Problems

Dr Prodromos will see and treat patients with some foot and ankle problems, especially arthritis and sports injuries. Some the problems he treats are:

Arthritis

Dr Prodromos is successfully using PRP, stem cells and Low Level Laser Therapy to treat arthritis in the foot and ankle. In some cases, he can use arthroscopic microfracture surgery of the talus to treat ankle arthritis. Arthritis in the toes and feet usually responds well to PRP.

Achilles Tendon

Achilles tendinitis is a common sports injury. PRP can often help to resolve symptoms. In the case of Achilles tendon rupture, Dr Prodromos can perform surgical repair. Details can be found here.

Bunions

Virtually all bunions are caused by improper shoes. Nonsurgical treatment with proper shoes and stretching can resolve bunions without the need of painful surgery.
