It is also important to realize that sun exposure is the most efficient way to get adequate Vitamin D. And it has turned out that Vitamin D is overwhelmingly important to our health due to its beneficial effect on a myriad of health problems. We have co-evolved with the sun for the entirety of human existence. It is impossible for me to fathom that suddenly the sun is our enemy.

The sun is natural. Moderation is crucial. Sunscreen is not natural, but it is extremely profitable. Vitamin D supplementation is important to many - I take it myself. I only take it during the 7 cooler months when my skin will not make Vitamin D in the Chicago climate. In southern climates, Vitamin D pills may not be necessary at all.
